Own-brand project on request

Maison Genkai is not positioned as a pure private-label operator. If a project makes sense, we can review an own-brand setup case by case, but the brand remains focused on sourcing, product quality and B2B distribution.

When an own-brand project makes sense

1

Validate the need

We check the channel, volume and actual role of the packaging. If the project adds little value, we do not force it.

2

Choose the right format

Pouch, box or tin can be considered if the volume and positioning justify it.

3

Check compliance

Labelling, nutritional values and legal mentions are handled only if the project is actually launched.

4

Keep execution simple

We keep lead times and logistics straightforward with clear scope from the start.

Scope and available formats

  • Own-brand projects are reviewed only when the volume makes sense
  • Packaging formats: 30g, 50g, 100g, 250g, 500g, 1kg
  • Multiple references can be considered if the project stays simple
  • Reorder only if the turnover is real

Origin traceability

Each batch of Maison Genkai matcha is traceable to the production region in Yame (Fukuoka). We provide a certificate of origin and a certificate of analysis if required by your buyer or market.

Frequently asked questions — own-brand projects

What is the minimum quantity for an own-brand project?

There is no standard “core offer” threshold. We first assess volume, channel and margin before validating anything.

How long does an own-brand project take?

If the project is accepted, it usually takes a few weeks between scoping, packaging and compliance.

Do you provide certificates of analysis?

Yes. We provide on request a certificate of analysis (COA) per batch, including heavy metals, pesticides, microbiology and nutritional values.

Can matcha be organic-certified in an own-brand project?

Our hojicha is organic-certified. For matcha, we work with producers following pesticide-free practices. We only open the topic if the project justifies it.

Can we combine multiple grades in the same project?

Yes, but only if the setup remains operationally simple and commercially coherent.
